Context, please

The Line Studios is a photography agency, specializing in ecommerce imagery for fashion, beauty and lifestyle brands. They were growing and looking to transition from their current Squarespace site as well as to enhance their overall brand and web experience to better reflect who they are, the quality of services they provide, and the people they aim to serve, all through a more visual, clean and easy to use interface.

The primary goal for the website design was to develop a visual language that uniquely defines the brand, communicates their unique value, and drives engagement. 

Branding & Identity

Full brand development went underway, with discovery, competitive research and close team collaboration with The Line Studios founders. Their desire for a luxury fashion-inspired collection of logos and alternative marks fits perfectly in line with what their core audience naturally responds to.

Each and every part of the design, from the UX to the UI, played a major part in establishing the newly branded digital experience. Elevating the brand impact by creating not only new layouts and cleaner ways to navigate the site, but also improved typography, graphic elements, colors and styles that  leverage brand impact across all  marketing and social materials as well.

The primary focus was to deliver a boldly sophisticated and inspired digital experience that not only ensured a successful redesign but also supported sustainable, ongoing growth for The Line Studios brand. A content and design strategy was crafted to drive the entire creative and technical process, ensuring branding, communication, and marketing goals.

Simple, object-based on-page navigation was used to introduce and communicate the core areas of the agency's services.

With such beautiful and impactful client work on display, creating a portfolio layout that was simple and elegant allows potential clients browsing through featured work to easily view the imagery by client.

An elevated brand aesthetic showcasing a highly designed and interactive experience combined new branding, messaging, visuals and clear calls-to-action – all within an intuitive user-friendly interface.

As a service provider in an extremely word-of-mouth industry, having the ability to share and display their featured work on mobile devices was absolutely paramount. Easy interactive touch controls allow users to scroll and swipe through content with familiar device controls and layouts.

Client projects within the portfolio received an elegant, editorial-meets-retail design aesthetic to strategically create a look and feel synonymous with the visual language The Line's esteemed clientele have established within their own industries.

Behind the lens

Understated and subtle, an About page with a simple and inviting content flow allows The Line to tell their story, communicate with their industry and quickly display some credibility within their field.

Moving around the site easily happens through fullscreen menu navigation as well as visual navigation on-page to ensure user flow continue without dead ends.
